A&T Project Developments

The Client – A&T Project Developments

We are a general contractor and developer in Kamloops, British Columbia.  Our mission is to exceed client expectations while constantly seeking to enhance our construction projects through the creative use of space, quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, respect and integrity.

The Challenge

Since we deal with so many on-going construction projects, we had no method to deals with business downtime in the event of a disaster

The Approach

Secure Shield provided us with a cybersecurity risk assessment, and they worked to develop a thorough incident response plan to deal with any cybersecurity or natural disasters that may present themselves.  They also aligned all our policies with out current business procedures.

How did you come to work with Secure Shield?

They were referred to us by our existing MSP and they did not provide a risk management service

The Outcome

Lyle provided a risk assessment of our vulnerabilities and how to mitigate them by creating a cybersecurity plan and safeguard business continuity. He was extremely responsive, open and honest and had our best interests in mind throughout the full process. He took the time to understand our current set-up and provided feedback as well as implement strategies on ways we could improve. He implemented an Incident Response Plan, and we will continue to work with him in the future when we need guidance.

Their management skills are outstanding. Our engagement isn’t project-based; they simply provide the expertise that I don’t have. However, they offer great tools in terms of helping me do the foundational work necessary to start our security programs. In terms of communication, we talk on a bimonthly basis over the phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is more interested in their mission than money — that’s reflected in the fact that they offer their service.  In other words, their integrity and relevance have been outstanding. Overall, the team is truly passionate about security and helping organizations. While they also need to make money, they’re truly more dedicated to making others secure.
